My view on Google Wave: go with the flow, stick with gmail yo

I have played a little with the Google Wave invite that I got from @themarco, but I am a bit disapointed.

Why?

Well, I don't have friends to wave with and much of it is not working...
The Twitter gadget extention is not available, the Bloggy account is mising (to post a wave directly to a blog),  the iPhoto dragging to a wave doesn't work as showed in the 8min introduction video.

After the disapointing results I started to think about the wave project, and I can only say I have a bad feeling about it,  sorry Google I can't help it.

The thing is that they already have a great world changing communication platform, and that is Gmail !
I really like Gmail, and it's already more than a email service, it offers chat, tasks and many other functionalities.

The wave videos showed some interesting stuff, but they could have also done that with Gmail.
They would reach more people, it would be easier to adapt and people would understand it better I think.

So that's my view: go with the flow, stick with gmail yo

If you read this and also have a wave account and want to do some waving, let me know by commenting, and I'll wave you back....
